Fellowships and Scholarships in Australia in 2023 - Formerly known as the Australia Leadership Awards, they are now known simply as Australia Awards Fellowships. The Australian Awards fellowships are part of a bigger regional drive to develop future leaders and build ties with emerging economies.
These Australian Government Fellowship programs are intended for persons who have already assumed leadership responsibilities, or who have the potential to do so, and who will utilize their positions to effect positive change in the fields of social and economic policy reform and development.
The Australia Awards Fellowships help international students who are enrolled in short-term study, research, or professional attachment programs at Australian universities.
Australia Awards Fellowships through Sponsorship

- Curriculum Designed for First-Year Students
- All enrollment-related expenses
- There is currently only one round-trip ticket available in the lowest pricing class (by the most direct route)
- The government of Australia determines the pace at which the Capital for the First Investing Round Payment is provided every two weeks to assist with basic living needs.
- Overseas Student Health Cover provides coverage for essential medical expenses while the student is studying abroad. This orientation is mandatory and will last between four and six weeks. It will only be usable by the person who receives it.
Furthermore, depending on the areas of study pursued and other factors, some beneficiaries may be entitled to extra benefits, such as those listed below.

Checks for Australia Award Fellowship Eligibility
The following are the minimum credentials that all nominated Fellows from Australia must have in order for their respective nominating organizations to consider them:- You must be at least 18 years old at the time the Award is begun.
- You must not be a permanent resident of Australia or apply for permanent residency.
- You must be a citizen of and reside in an eligible developing country.
- You must not be a member of the armed forces at the moment.
- Not be lawfully married to, or in a de facto relationship with, an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident;
- Have worked in their country of citizenship and in an area linked to the Fellowship activities prior to the anticipated start date of their Fellowship;
- Have the ability to meet all of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection's visa standards; and be available to participate in the Australian organization's proposed Fellowship activities at the time and for the duration specified.

How Do I Apply for a Fellowship in Australia?

Language Tests Acceptable for Australia Award Fellowship:
- An Australia Awards Scholarship requires a high degree of English ability.
- IELTS scores of 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0.
- A PTE Academic score of 58 or higher, with no section score lower than 50.
In the case of applicants with disabilities who otherwise meet the criteria, an IELTS score of 6.0 with no band less than 5.0 may be submitted; however, if selected, the applicant will be required to retake an English Language Proficiency test (arranged by Australia Awards - Pakistan) and achieve the required score before taking up their Scholarship.
